The Skeleton Coast Cape Cross Seal Colony Half Day Tour commends at 08H30 and ends roughly at about 13H00
This tour takes you north of Swakopmund up the Northern Coast, known as the Skeleton Coast of Namibia to the Cape Cross Seal Colony where you will find and see thousands of Cape Fur Seals.
This tour also takes you to where Diego Cao a Portuguese Explorer planted a stone cross.
Diego Cao was a mariner and one of the most notable explorers of the fifteenth century. He made two voyages along the west coast of Africa in the 1480s, exploring the Congo River and the coasts of present-day Angola and Namibia.
Born in 1452 and died in 1486 at the Cape Cross Seal Reserve.
Along the way we stop at the Zeila Shipwreck, Lichen Plains, small Salt Mines and also pass-through small Namibian settlements along the coast.
The 50 000 strong Cape Fur Seals awaits you.
We get close, you will hear them, smell them and you will almost be able to touch them.
A small lunch with local beverages is then served along a remote desert site.
We will then take the same route back to Swakopmund.
